After independence the companies: CERRUTI (Boilermaking), ATELIERS GRISA (Boilers), ABDELHAK (Steel structure) and SEMMONS (Heating installation) are grouped into a Metallurgical Cooperative.
1985
ECFERAL is established as a local public company under the supervision of the Wilaya of Algiers (Supervisory board)

ECFERAL becomes an economic public enterprise with a share capital of 10.000.000 DA.

Expertise of incineration plants under the supervision of spatial planning and environment ministry.
23 October 2004
The State Shareholding Council approves the sale of the Company to its employee buyers and becomes thus a joint-stock company : ECFERAL spa. It was taken over by the company of employees, ACIVEM spa (Algerian Industrial Steam Boiler and Maintenance) which social capital (share capital) is 12.340.000 DA.
13 July 2005
Classification certificate Category VII (7) obtained from the interdepartmental commission (Ministry of Habitat and Ministry of Public Works).
06 February 2006
The steam boiler type MYRA 1500 (1500 Kg-Steam/Hour) is the first industrial boiler, in Algeria, to be certified to Algerian standards (TEDJ marking).
23 December 2007
The share (social) capital of ECFERAL spa was increased to 245,865,000 DA.
2008
Obtaining ISO 9001 certification for its quality management system.
2011
Two (02) new certifications : ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001.
2012
ECFERAL has embarked on large-capacity industrial boilers.
2021
ECFERAL has implemented the new ISO 45001 standard, which replaced the OHSAS 18001 standard.
